Description:

Responsibilities include the engineering, start up and tuning of combustion/steam turbine control systems. Hands-on experience tuning turbine related control loops, logic, control valves, sensors and tuning of controls.

Work independently or coordinate activities of other staff to install, modify, test or repair Company products and equipment. Represent the Company in negotiating agreements, resolving highly complex technical, logistics and business issues while promoting and maintaining good customer relations and protecting the Company's interests.

Typical duties/responsibilities for field service may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform or coordinate highly complex and diverse engineering activities and related analyses associated with major field projects and provide technical advice to customers and less experienced field engineers. Visit multiple job sites to ensure proper installation and operation of specialized equipment and to devise solutions to problems. Establish schedules and coordinate technical activities. Direct or assist in providing direction to crafts people.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or related field plus 5 to 8 years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.

- Gas and or/Steam turbine experience required.
- 5+ years of experience required (nothing below 5 years). 10+ years of experience would be even better and considered excellent.
- Bachelors degree required, masters degree is a plus.
- Travel is required as the work will be done anywhere in the US as needed. Any previous client engineering experience is a big plus. Candidates must be willing to travel at any time.

Turbine Specialist - Candidate Must Haves:

• Client DCS controls experience – Harmony, Symphony and 800xA platforms.
• Currently active with hands on experience with client HSS, TPS, and VPS modules
• Ability to work independently at customer sites
• Ability to lead the turbine commissioning activities.

Candidate can be anywhere in the US, no geographical limitations, work locations will vary depending on customer needs.
