Position Summary:The Senior IT Project Manager will lead enterprise-wide technology initiatives within a municipal government environment. The role requires an experienced professional capable of independently managing strategic IT projects, facilitating cross-department collaboration, and advising leadership.Key Responsibilities:Lead full lifecycle IT projects (planning through implementation)Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, and risk management plansProvide executive-level status reporting to the client leadershipCoordinate cross-functional municipal departments (public safety, finance, utilities, administration)Oversee vendor coordination and contract deliverablesFacilitate stakeholder workshops and steering committee meetingsSupport governance and change management initiativesRequired Skills:Enterprise IT project managementRisk management and mitigationCross-functional stakeholder facilitationVendor managementBudget oversightGovernance framework implementationStrong documentation and reporting skillsRequired Experience:8–12+ years IT project management experience3+ years in public sector or municipal government environmentExperience in hybrid (on-prem + cloud) IT environmentsProven ability to independently lead large initiativesPreferred Certifications:PMP (strongly preferred)ITIL (preferred)Agile/Scrum certifications (nice to have)Notes:HybridTravel: Occasional onsite presence required
