Senior / Multi-Skilled IT Technician

Network support, server/infrastructure assistance, advanced troubleshooting, support across multiple sites and disciplines as needed

Job summary
The Senior Technician handles the district’s more advanced technical work, including network, server, and infrastructure support across multiple schools. The district’s Technology Department oversees network infrastructure, cybersecurity, device management, and physical security systems, and this role supports all of those areas.

Key responsibilities
Provide network support (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points)
Assist with server and infrastructure maintenance under district direction
Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues
Support multiple campuses and technical areas as needed
Take escalations from Level 1 Technicians
Support physical security systems such as IP cameras and door access, as assigned
Document all work in the district’s ticketing system
Join the emergency and after-hours response rotation

Required qualifications
3–5+ years of IT support with hands-on network and systems work
Experience with VLANs, DHCP/DNS, wireless networks, and cabling
Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy experience
Experience supporting multiple sites
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred qualifications
K-12, higher education, or public-sector experience
Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration
Experience with physical security systems (cameras, access control)
CompTIA Network+ or CCNA; Security+ a plus
