SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

  • The overall objective of the Audit and Assurance Division is to assist all levels of management and the Audit Committee by providing independent analysis, appraisals, advice, and recommendations concerning the activities reviewed. The objective of the Audit and Assurance Division’s Payment Quality Assurance (PQA) team is to support the annual testing program in compliance with the Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Improvement Act of 2012 (IPERIA). The purpose of the Senior PQA Analyst role is to lead, perform and review assessments relating to the four USF support mechanisms to determine improper payments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position’s essential duties include the following:

  • Planning and performing assessments to determine improper payments in accordance with applicable rules and guidelines;
  • Preparing clear and concise workpapers, and other communications to document the assessment procedures performed and exceptions identified;
  • Communicating assessment status and results , in oral or written format, to program participants and PQA management;
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on work paper documentation;
  • Performing project management duties over individual workload;
  • Pursuing professional development opportunities, including external and internal training, and share information with co-workers to contribute to the growth and development of the Audit and Assurance Division; and
  • Assisting in other special projects as needed.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Training or Formal Education Fields: Audit, Accounting, Finance and/or Business
  • Years of Experience:
  • Overall: 1 – 2 years
  • Auditing/Compliance: 1 year
  • Other Desired Experience: Telecommunications Industry; Microsoft Office; Regulatory

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Handling confidential matters
  • Traveling on an as needed basis
  • Application of data analytics

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The Senior PQA Analyst will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a group of professionals motivated by the client’s mission. Some travel (up to 25%) may be required for assessment reviews.
