Position Requirements:We're seeking a talented Platform Engineer to help architect, deploy, and manage our on-premises Virtual Cloud (VMware) platforms, our AWS Cloud platforms while supporting emerging AI capabilities, modern containerized workloads, and enterprise virtualization environments.What You'll DoDesign, implement, and maintain hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises data centers and AWS GovCloud, ensuring compliance with federal security standardsAdminister and optimize hyper-visor clusters (VMware vSphere, ESXi) for enterprise workloadsManage Kubernetes fleet operations across on-premises VMware vSphere with Kubernetes (VKS) and AWS EKSLead application modernization initiatives, migrating and optimizing workloads across cloud and on-premises environmentsImplement comprehensive audit logging, monitoring, and observability solutions across hybrid environmentsSupport security engineering initiatives including vulnerability management, compliance automation, and security hardeningSupport emerging AI/ML capabilities and cloud-native solutionsBuild and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment using Jira for project managementEnsure systems meet NIST 800-53 and FISMA compliance requirementsAutomate operational tasks and improve platform reliability across both cloud and on-premises infrastructureContribute to architectural decisions and hybrid cloud strategyPreferred QualificationsMinimum of 7 years’ experience in supporting enterprise-grade ESXi servers and VMware server software.Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting and troubleshooting large VMware installationsExpert knowledge of ESXi server implementations and operations, VLAN, VMC, primary, secondary data center operations and hybrid cloud implementationsExperience with Aria Automation, Aria Orchestrator and Aria OperationsExperience with Powershell/Powercli scriptingOn-premises data center and AWS GovCloud experienceKubernetes fleet management experience (VKS, EKS, Mirantis)VMware vSphere administration and cluster managementKnowledge of NIST 800-53 controls and FISMA compliance frameworksExperience with security engineering, audit logging, and monitoring toolsApplication modernization and containerization experienceExperience with AI/ML infrastructure and servicesGitLab and Jira experienceVMware or Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)Experience in financial services or federal government environments
