Position Overview



Service & Maintenance Technician

We are recruiting for a Service and Maintenance Technician which includes Lifting and Transport Equipment to join our Tools Equipment Management Warehouse within SGRE. We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to work in a friendly team environment responsible for inspecting, registering and maintaining lifting equipment while performing essential servicing, repairs and electrical safety tests to manufacturer’s specification. This is a varied role where thorough training will be provided to the successful candidate. We are looking for candidates who has a proven track record of delivering inspection and maintenance in a service environment. This role will have full training provided with the relevant GWO Courses.

Responsibilities
Inspection and registration of existing/new lifting equipment.
Perform document maintenance, installation, fault diagnosis and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and instrumentation systems.
Periodical service of lifting equipment
Ensure the safety of yourself and others within HSE best practice.
Electrical Safety Tests
Be a part of a 24/7 on call service from the department
Assemble & disassemble of transport equipment
Be a part of the one stop shop team

Qualify for this job
You must work well as part of a team and as an individual, as there will be an expectation to become self-sufficient and manage your daily activities.
Have excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with other colleagues, supervisors, managers and departments.
Sound knowledge of mechanics with experience of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical.
Can demonstrate the ability to read/understand procedures/specifications/ drawings/sketches/diagrams etc.
PC literate and able to use MS office applications.
Demonstrates a logical problem-solving approach to all breakdowns and issues.
Possess previous equipment maintenance experience including breakdown support, fault finding, repair and process improvement.
