Description:


Specialists participate in the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment newly installed in large commercial buildings such as Data Centers.


As a Specialist, you will:

Perform Point to Point checkouts of our Devices (e.g. sensors, relays, controllers) on HVAC Equipment

With support, ensure system database and programming verification, consistency with scope of work, and adherence to sequence of operations

With support, confirm proper network performance and addressing any issues that may arise

Run routine reports to evaluate system operation, participating in final inspection and testing, and completing written reports

Collaborate with others to schedule trade contractors for coordinating startup services and providing necessary plans and control system documents for as-built drawings


KEY DETAILS

Programable controllers. Handle input and outputs of software points – turning on lights, turning on fans, regulating speed of fans. Wired back to our programable logical controllers.

Pulling out meters checking if any issues- placement, software,….

Computers and mechanical savvy

Plugging into programmable controller to see what’s happening.


Technician that will be working with others to verify that all of our devices are functioning properly.

They need to be able to carry ladders and be able to go up on a lift as needed.

Most of the work is in doors. This is a construction job site so all of the PPE (hard hat, safety shoes, vest, hard hat, safety glasses) need to be worn all time.

There will be on site badging screening done by the General Contractor.

The client will provide the PPE with the exception of the shoes.


Focus: Building Automation Systems (BAS) integrated with HVAC and computing systems


Technical Scope

Building Automation Systems:

Acts as the “brain” of the HVAC and smart systems

Manages pressurization and environmental controls

Communicates with various mechanical and electronic components

HVAC & Computing Integration:

Approximately 50–60% of the role involves computer systems

Remaining 40–50% involves HVAC and mechanical systems

Includes staging equipment, verifying operations, and system integration


Physical Requirements:

Large square footage requires extensive walking

Some tasks involve ceiling-mounted devices (e.g., pressure sensors)

One technician operates a lift while another verifies technical success

Safety Gear: Steel-toe boots required for all personnel on site


Skills Needed:

Experience with HVAC systems and computer integration

Ability to verify and stage equipment

Comfortable with both physical and technical aspects of the job


Notes:

Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 10-hour shifts

6:00 am to 4:00 pm-- Monday through Friday and every Saturday.

No travel Needed
