R&D Computer Systems Verification EngineerThis position is for a Research and Development Engineer, working with the Computer Systems Engineering team. We are looking for a talented individual to help us with the product development process. The position will assist with the Computer Systems Engineering development team in component qualification, software verification, and design transfer in the client.Duties and responsibilities:Responsible for the development, qualification, and release of computer system component and software releases for client Electrophysiology SystemsReview and development of product requirements, test plans and test protocolsExecution of software and computer system verification protocolsEnhances and documents medical device functionalityCollaborate with product management, customer care, quality, regulatory, production, and other engineering disciplines to deliver upon product delivery objectives and business goals
Years of Experience: Preferred 1 to 2 years’ experience in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related fields.Education: Preferred minimum of Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related fields. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.Required Qualifications:Experience with development and analysis of product requirementsExperience with development of test plans, methods, and protocolsExperience executing test methods/protocols on hardware and software projectsCapable of producing polished, detail-oriented written technical documentationAbility to follow written procedures and document progress on tasksExperience working with issue management systems to create, triage, and track issuesOrganized and on-time with ability to follow thru on tasks and work in a structured process environmentAbility to engage with and successfully influence cross functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows Operating System installation and configuration, including driver troubleshooting and OS enhancementsExperience working with high-end workstations, network hardware, internal cards like frame grabbers and external accessories like printers, monitors, touchscreens, etc.Experience with the engineering change process and enterprise/document management systems such as WindchillExperience with Word, Visio, and similar documentation toolsFamiliarity with the EP space including examining ECG waveforms, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound sourcesExperience/familiarity with EMC/EMI & Safety testingFamiliarity with software revision control system
