Job Summary:We seek a highly motivated and skilled Technical Project Delivery Manager to join our newly established AI team. This individual will be crucial in bridging our AI initiatives’ technical and project delivery aspects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data science, machine learning, or a related field and proven experience in coordinating complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams in the life sciences or technology industries. This role is initially an individual contributor (IC) position, reporting directly to the Head of the AI team, with the potential for future people management responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with AI scientists and engineers to understand project requirements, technical specifications, and deliverables.Coordinate and organize AI projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.Facilitate communication and collaboration between the AI team and other business units (e.g., R&D, product development, regulatory affairs).Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation. (Experience with resource management is a plus).Proactively identify and address potential project risks and roadblocks.Contribute to the development of proof-of-concept AI solutions for medical devices.Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and relevant medical device regulations (e.g., FDA guidelines, HIPAA).Navigate interpersonal and departmental relationships effectively to ensure project success.Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve existing medical devices and explore new SaMD applications.Work within an Agile/Scrum framework to manage project iterations and sprints.Requirements:Master or higher degree in data science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.3-7 years of experience in a technical role, with a proven track record of applying analytical skills.Prior experience working in the life sciences industry (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals) or a technology company specializing in software/ML algorithm development.Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing technical projects.Strong understanding of data science and machine learning concepts and techniques.Familiarity with Scrum and Agile development methodologies.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovation.Awareness of medical device regulations and standards.Highly Desired:Prior experience with Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) development.Experience with resource and timeline management.Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning Projects is highly preferred.Notes:Must be based in Chicago, IL, and willing to work in an office setting.Travel approximately 10% of the time.This contacting role is expected to be converted to the client full-time employee 100 Percent onsite 8 AM - 5 PMVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
