Sr Electro Mechanical EngineerPosition Summary:The Senior Electro Mechanical Engineer will be a part of the R&D organization and an important contributor to the realization of the next generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare. You will be a highly visible technical resource working on development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies. There will be direct involvement from prototype to verification builds and testing within a regulated medical device development environment. This role is suited for a R&D engineer with experience in developing electromechanical fixtures, authoring documentations, establish verification tests, and assist with electromechanical issue resolution.Key Responsibilities:Support identification of, specification creation for, development and characterization of manufacturing in-line test and build fixturesIdentify improvement points in electromechanical assembly build processDevelop electromechanical fixtures to support development of complex medical robotics systemAssist in specifying firmware and software development requirements for fixturesAuthor relevant documents related to fixture designs and development process improvementsMaintain disciplined test, configuration control, documentation, and management processes throughoutSupport a variety of multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects of different sizes and scopesHelp with the vendor communications and procurement issuesManage and communicate assigned projects in collaboration with cross-functional teamsQualifications:8+ years work experience in complex electromechanical system R&D environmentBachelor’s and/or Masters degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering or a close field is requiredExperience in heavily-regulated industries such as medical device or aerospace is requiredMust have hands-on experience in design, assembly and testing of electro-mechanical systemsKnowledge of industry best practices for development of complex electromechanical systemsFamiliarity with ASME V&V (Verification & Validation) 40 a plusPrevious experience in design transfer/new product introduction desiredDemonstrated CAD proficiency highly desired. Solid works preferred.Experience with statistical tools and software such as Minitab is desiredExperience using, modifying, and programing in MATLAB Simulink or LabView highly desiredExperience developing firmware/software code/applications is highly desiredMust have experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical leadershipMust have experience in project management including task timeline estimation and work breakdown structuresAble to execute assigned projects and duties with minimal supervisionOutstanding documentation and communication skills requiredProficiency in using MS Office requiredNote :8:30am - 5:30pm.
