Position Summary:Sr ElectroMechanical EngineerThe Senior ElectroMechanical Engineer will be a part of the R&D organization and an important contributor to the realization of the next generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare. You will be a visible technical resource working on development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies. There will be direct contribution from prototype to verification builds and testing within a regulated medical device development environment. This role is suited for a senior-level R&D engineer with experience in developing electromechanical fixtures, authoring documentations, and support reliability and verification activities.Key Responsibilities:Design electromechanical fixtures related to reliability, verification and validation efforts of a complex electromechanical systemAuthor relevant documents related to fixture designs and DV testsDevelop Test method, protocols, execute tests, prepare reports and release them via ECOsMaintain disciplined test, configuration control, documentation, and management processes throughoutSupport a variety of multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects of different sizes and scopesPerforms statistical analysisHelp with the vendor communications and procurement issuesPerform issue resolution on various technical issues within the programManage and communicate assigned projects in collaboration with cross-functional teamsQualifications:8+ years work experience in complex electromechanical system R&D environmentBachelor’s and/or Masters degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering or a close field is requiredExperience in heavily-regulated industries such as medical device or aerospace is requiredMust have hands-on experience in design, assembly and test of electro-mechanical systemsKnowledge of industry best practices for development of complex electromechanical systemsFamiliarity with ASME V&V (Verification & Validation) 40 a plusPrevious experience in design transfer/new product introduction desiredDemonstrated CAD proficiency highly desired. Solidworks preferredA working knowledge of DFM/A, Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysisProficiency with Product Lifecycle Management PLM software and ECOsA working knowledge of ASME drafting standards including GD&T (Y14.5-2018)Develop production and support documentation including bills of material (BOMs), assembly drawings, and maintenance instructions.Experienced in using statistical tools and software such as MinitabProficient in developing test methods, protocols, performing tests and releasing relevant documentation.Experienced in fixture and process validation.Experience using, modifying, and programing in MATLAB Simulink or LabView is desiredMust have experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical leadershipMust have experience in project management including task timeline estimation and work breakdown structuresAble to execute assigned projects and duties with minimal supervisionOutstanding documentation and communication skills requiredProficiency in using MS Office requiredMessage BodyBelow is the Intake/Spotlight call information.Required:• Develop Test method, protocols, execute tests, ECO • Statistical analysis• Update several V&V fixture designs• Reliability fixture qualification effort• Vendor interface and management. • Add clarity to issue resolution (design vs SCM vs vendor)• Support misc integration and test requests (ad-hoc tests)Should have most of the following:• BSc/MSc in ME, Mechatronics, Robotics• AT least 8 years work experience• Experience in regulated industry (Medical, Aerospace) Notes:8:30am - 5:30pm.
