STORE DESIGN

The Contract Store Designer supports the delivery of retail store design packages for new, relocation, remodel, and special project initiatives across multiple brands. This role focuses on accurate, timely execution of approved design concepts, adapting established brand standards to site-specific conditions, and producing clean, complete documentation that supports permitting, procurement, and construction. Working alongside full-time Store Designers and Design Leadership, this role is accountable for on-time delivery, drawing accuracy, and disciplined adherence to standards and processes, rather than concept origination or standards authorship.

o Floor plans and fixture plans
o Interior elevations and storefront elevations
o Finish and material applications per approved specifications

Apply brand standards consistently while adapting layouts to site conditions, landlord criteria, and jurisdictional constraints.
Generate clear, accurate, detailed drawing packages suitable for construction document development. Project Review & Coordination

Review and interpret kickoff documentation including:
o Tenant Design Criteria
o Site surveys and as-built drawings
o Landlord work letters
o Code and jurisdictional requirements
o Brand Operational and Financial Requirements

Coordinate with internal partners (A/E Coordination, Design Partners, Construction, Signage, R&D) to resolve design constraints efficiently.
Participate in scheduled plan reviews and working sessions as required. Quality, Accuracy & Timeliness
Ensure all deliverables meet expectations for:
o Accuracy (dimensioning, fixture tagging, consistency across sheets)
o Completeness (no missing scopes or ambiguous information)
o Timeliness (meeting established milestones and handoff dates)

Incorporate redlines, comments, and review feedback quickly and accurately.
Support document updates through DD and construction phases as needed. Vendor & Consultant Support
Review vendor-produced documents and shop drawings for compliance with approved design intent and standards.
Provide design clarification to vendors, consultants, and internal teams as required. Presentations & Communication
Assist in preparing design decks, sample boards and visuals for landlord, internal, or brand reviews when needed.
Communicate clearly and professionally with cross-functional partners, escalating issues appropriately.

SCOPE & ACCOUNTABILITY
Executes approved concepts and standards; does not own or author brand standards.
Supports delivery of projects on time, within defined scope, and with quality, under the direction of Design Leadership.
