Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Duties:
Lead and facilitate quality solutions for urgent shop floor and customer issues, focusing on permanent corrective actions and preventing recurrences through implementing systemic corrective actions.
Perform quality planning primary focused on fluid conveyance but could also include hydraulics, metal fab, or fasteners.
The quality planning can include current products, supplier change request, cost reduction, resourcing and temporary sourcing.
Execute Design Process and Assembly Reviews (DPARs), print reviews, and design reviews of new/current products.
Use Six Sigma and other quality tools including Statistical Analysis, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis, and 8D methodology to ensure the identification of quality failure concerns for externally manufactured parts and assemblies.
Lead supplier Quality Improvement Teams.

Job Requirements:
Functional knowledge/experience in project management; including effectively facilitating, leading, and managing cross-functional teams
Experience with standard quality management principles and tools (such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause, Control Plans, Gage R&R, MSA and Capability Studies).
Experience reading and interpreting complex part drawings, including functional knowledge of GD&T.
Experience in advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
Previous experience in Supplier Quality Engineering and/or Quality Engineering
Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and initiative

Key Skills & Experience Required:
Degree in Technology, Engineering, Communications, Business, Computer Science, and/or Data Analytics

Notes:
Onsite
Candidate must be comfortable with factory environment and occasional intra-facility travel

Regarding Driving: This position may drive a client owned Gator inside the factory to get from the office area to a different office area in another part of the factory (all connected and indoors). Worker will need to successfully complete client safety training to be approved to drive this. They will transport their computer or parts/tools. Other workers could ride along if they are going to the same areas due to limited number of available Gators. This would not be driven outside. May also drive their personal vehicle to other facilities within a 20 mile radius. Rental cars are not used for this travel.

Shift: 1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm) – Overtime may be scheduled at end of shift
