Job Summary:

This is a position within supply chain, central processing/sterile processing department
The Surgical Instrumentation Project Lead will manage a project to acquire instrumentation for the client.
The Instrumentation acquisition process will last approximately 1 year during which a large amount of instrumentation will be identified, quoted, purchased, received, assembled into sets and documented.
The Surgical Instrumentation Project lead will ensure that all information is accurate and progress updates are reported according to a defined plan.
The Surgical Instrument Project Lead will work under the direction of the Central Processing Operations Manager and Instrument Supervisor to ensure all appropriate processes are followed.
This role will work in conjunction with Contracting, Procurement, Materials Management and Clinical Surgical teams to complete the project.


Job Responsibilities:

The Surgical Instrumentation Project Lead will have the following Responsibilities: Utilize the Sterile Processing Management System (SPM) and analytics resources to identify all recipes for instrumentation purchase under the direction of the CPD operations Manager
Coordinate the process of acquiring quotes for all instrumentation in conjunction with Purchasing and sterile processing resources
Accountable for the tracking of required instrumentation from purchasing through receipt
Assemble instrumentation into sets following existing recipes and protocols established by the client Central Processing Department
Maintain all required documentation for the instrument acquisition process as well as inventory and receipts in the SPM system
Support the implementation of instrument picking, transportation, repairs, returns, and PAR Inventory Management of instrumentation for the Services and Logistics Center implementation
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on the instrumentation during the go-live of the SLC Central processing services completing other supporting activities as required.

Skills:

Familiarity with SPM, Sterile Processing Management Systems, or equivalent system is preferred.
Experience in Word and Excel is required
Experience in project management and process improvements is desirable.
Demonstrate an ability to prioritize and manage tasks and direct the activities of others (when applicable).


Education:

Required Education/Experience:

High School diploma or Equivalent
5+ years of experience in sterile processing Detailed knowledge of surgical instrumentation required


Required Licensces/Certifications:

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Tech (CSPDT)
