Description:

Systems Analysis Advisor

This position is responsible for supporting new development, enhancement, and maintenance of integrations for an engineering team in a progressive Healthcare company.

Key responsibilities as a Systems Analyst:

Requirements Analysis & Design
Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and business teams to define integration and interoperability requirements.
Translate business processes into technical specifications, focusing on data exchange, APIs, and FHIR-based integrations.
Analyze current systems and workflows to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and improvement.

FHIR & API Development

Design, document, and support RESTful APIs and FHIR resources for secure and compliant data exchange.
Ensure adherence to HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and related interoperability standards.
Develop mappings, data transformations, and interface specifications between EHRs and other healthcare applications.

Integration & Testing

Support integration projects
Conduct testing and validation of APIs, FHIR endpoints, and data payloads for accuracy and conformance.
Troubleshoot integration issues, monitor system performance, and recommend improvements.

Documentation & Compliance

Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, interface specifications, and workflow diagrams.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant data privacy and security standards.

Collaboration & Support

Work closely with engineering, data, and other teams to ensure interoperability and reliability data interfaces and integrated systems.
Provide technical support and training related to integration processes and tools.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, OR relevant and commensurate work experience.
5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Integration Analyst, or similar role in an IT setting.
Strong knowledge of FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, and healthcare interoperability standards.
Experience with RESTful API design, JSON, XML, and related data formats.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SMART on FHIR, Multi-factor authentication, and healthcare app ecosystems.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Proficiency in SQL and basic scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
