Description:
Responsibilities:
Perform account reconciliations
Processing business license renewals
Updating historical and current business license data
Possibility of handling E911 tax compliance including matching and mailing tax returns with tax checks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Accounting background 2+ years of experience
Detail and process oriented
Experience processing vendor payments, including checks.
Experience with general ledger account reconciliations
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, high proficiency in Excel
Familiarity with tax return preparation or business license compliance is a plus
Typical day look like:
Tax department / telecom
Beginning of the month is prep of data
Middle – reconciliation / filings / payments
End of month – data clean up / additional reconciliations
Day-to-day:
Reviewing notices and renewal that come in, working within system to update current and historical data, 911/988 taxes from across the country (tax filings)
Month over month, there are timelines, the business will know when there are gaps or delays, this individual needs to be a self-starter, along with trustworthy to do the work remotely
Top 3-5 must have skills, years of experience:
General ledger are specific to client
Proficient in Excel and Office Suite Software, would be a plus – all data is imported into Excel
Reconciliation experience would be great
Use Blackline, but SAP, similar systems would be useful
Microsoft Properties (Teams, chats, etc)
Tax compliance
Pivot tables within Excel would be a huge plus
Technical skills and years of experience:
Familiar with numbers, account reconciliation, balancing accounts
Understanding tax returns and the information within the forms
Soft skills:
People skills, communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter
Learns quickly and asks good questions during training

2/3 days in office - all staff in office is in a hybrid model
Eastern Time zone - 8:30am - 5:00pm
