Description:JOB PURPOSE:Work with design/test engineers on building test fixtures, debug circuitry, test setup, equipment maintenance and/or perform testing.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Set up Dynamometers for electric motor and/or inverter testing.Perform inspection and maintenance as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction.Rework products per company and industry standards.Build test harnesses, loads to support product test as required.Document and maintain records relating to work performed.Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.Design and build engineering test fixtures.Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and manager.REQUIRED EDUCATION:A.S. in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experienceREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Minimum one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or a strong mechanical background is required; three or more years of related experience is preferredREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processingUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and electronic componentsPossess a thorough understanding of diagnostic equipment and methods e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root causeAbility to read intermediate engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagramsMaintain necessary product records and documentationAbility to comprehend and use product/process component datasheetsAbility to assemble and disassemble productsAbility to maintain lab equipmentAbility to perform mechanical workAbility to train an Electronics Technician IAbility to work with minimal supervisionPREFERRED SKILLS:Ability to solderStrong mechanical aptitudeFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and electronic componentsExperience in one or more of the following areas:3D Printing, Electronics, Electrician/Electrical Contracting, High Voltage Electrical Safety, Electric motor repair, On-road/off-road Automotive Repair, Communication/Networking hardware, Computer repair, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, HVAC, Farming Notes:1st shift- Monday-FridayVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
