JOB DESCRIPTION

Freelance Print & Textile Designer

Looking for a freelance Print & Textile Designer to support our internal print team on an ongoing basis

This role will contribute to the development of seasonal prints across multiple women’s brands, supporting key categories including Swim, Sleep, Active, and RTW. Role will work closely with in-house designers and directors to bring trend-forward, brand-right artwork to life. Individual will have the technical experience to support the team with strike-offs, tech packs, and vendor communication.

Emphasis on Textile Print Design, candidates need textile print design experience


Key Responsibilities
Translate seasonal direction, mood boards, and briefs into original, brand-appropriate print concepts
Create repeat and placement artwork across categories (all-over prints, graphics, engineered layouts, etc.)
Execute detailed print files, including repeat building, color indexing, and scale exploration
Prepare production-ready files for handoff to vendors, including layered PSDs, vector files, and repeat swatches
Collaborate with internal print designers on revisions, feedback, and handoff
Maintain consistency with aesthetic from design to final execution
Work within set timelines and project milestones, often supporting multiple briefs at once

Qualifications
5+ years experience in textile or print design for apparel; mass retail experience strongly preferred
Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (especially Photoshop, Illustrator)
Solid understanding of textile repeat building and production standards
Ability to work with layered digital files and execute clean, organized handoffs
Ability to create and manage tech packs and communicate with factories
Fast, proactive communicator; comfortable working independently and within a team
Availability for quick turnaround requests or 1–2 week project bursts

Nice to Have
A candidate with NedGraphics skills is strongly preferred
