Description:TGCM Operation Technician 5Total Gas & Chemical Management (TGCM) Operations group provides our semiconductor manufacturing customers with on site safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of the gases and chemicals needed on a daily basis in the production ofelectronics materials. This service requires operating and maintaining gas and chemical distribution equipment and systems 24/7 without issue or interruption.Maintain and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipmentPerform minor inspections and preventive maintenance on gas/chemical equipmentPerform daily rounds, including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas andchemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outsMonitor and understand correct liquid bulk delivery procedures for each product on sitePerform bulk gas and chemical trailer transfersMake initial evaluations and then obtain proper assistance when confronted with problem situationsActive member of the Emergency Response TeamSatisfactorily complete TGCM Tech 5 local OJT and qualification requirements within 12 months in jobParticipate in customer and client programs including, but not limited to: Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive MaintenanceSupport training of TGCM contractors as neededComply with all applicable HS&E Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry, etc.Complete assigned tasks per existing proceduresPerform minor analytical procedures and/or sampling proceduresAccountable for the safety of all persons, and general public surrounding facilities.Hazardous Waste Technician (at applicable operations locations):Ensure proper transfer of materials to the dock hazardous waste storage area, including utilization of appropriate maintenance, documentation, equipment, labeling, and procedures.Follow proper procedures for handling spills/emergencies, pour-up of materials, segregation of compatible materials,preparation for waste/containers for shipment, and forklift operation.Support waste minimization programs/activities, and maintain understanding of applicable hazardous waste laws.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED OR 5+ years of relevant experience1+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceGood communication skillsAbility to follow both written and verbal instructionsEvidence of previous work in a successful team environmentKnowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy, including product acceptance criteria, tank fill, inventory and material usage, monitoring, safety parameters and personnel requirementsElectro-mechanical aptitudeDisplay aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem solving actionsAble to understand and abide by stringent safety rulesDemonstrate ability to train junior techniciansPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 40 lbsAbility to stand/walk up to 11 hours per dayAbility to operate hydraulic foot pump (55 gallon drums - drums could be up to 500 lbs)Job requires constant bending to successfully complete shift tasks (validating information, checking systems, etc.)Ability to wear a respirator as part of required PPE for certain job tasksPreferred QualificationsExperience in the semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas field, military technical/electronic rating or nuclear field,or equivalent industry.Notes:Estimated hours per week: 36/48Work Schedule:Will initially be M-F -8hr days for 1 week for Onboarding.Night Shift 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM exact days to be determinedVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
