Description:

GENERAL FUNCTION

The PR Manager, Lenses, Innovation & Trade supports public relations strategy for client’s lens, innovation, and trade portfolio across North America. This hybrid role leads media relations, PR campaigns, and influencer programs to build awareness of the company’s most advanced technologies and iconic lens brands.
As part of the Americas PR team, the role partners closely with U.S. and Canadian stakeholders, global brand teams, product marketing, and external agencies to ensure alignment, excellence in execution, and measurable results. It combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, with a focus on health tech innovation, product storytelling, and market-specific engagement.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

North America Responsibilities

Partner with the Americas PR Director, Lenses & Innovation to shape and execute PR strategy across the U.S. and Canada for key brands including Varilux, Transitions, Stellest, and Nuance Audio (U.S. only)
Co-manage North America trade PR, maintaining strong relationships with optical B2B media and securing earned coverage around product launches, trade shows, and other key business moments
Support frames-related PR efforts by ensuring lens and trade storytelling is incorporated into select brand campaigns and events targeting optical audiences
Act as the U.S. PR lead for Nuance Audio, working closely with the global PR, brand, legal, and regulatory teams to ensure compliant and compelling communication
Develop and execute PR campaigns for lens product launches in collaboration with U.S. and Canadian marketing teams
Manage cross-market PR agencies and vendor relationships for lenses and innovation
Support influencer strategy for lenses in Canada as needed

General / Cross-functional Responsibilities

Create stakeholder-ready campaign recaps and KPI-driven reports
Maintain strong alignment with global PR teams to localize messaging and drive coordination
Assist with budget tracking, vendor payments, and invoicing
Monitor trends across media, health tech, innovation, and influencer marketing to inform strategy

SCOPE & IMPACT

This role supports more than 20 brands across lenses, frames, and retail, with direct influence on media strategy and brand visibility in client’s two key North American markets. With a hybrid scope spanning consumer and trade, innovation and fashion, and U.S. and Canada execution, the role demands agility, strategic thinking, and deep media expertise.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
4–6 years of public relations experience; combination of client and in-house preferred, ideally in fashion, accessories, beauty, health, or retail
Track record of leading PR campaigns from concept through execution with measurable results
Experience managing PR events, product launches, seeding, and influencer marketing (organic and paid)
Skilled in client/vendor oversight, budget tracking, and cross-functional collaboration
Deep knowledge of the Canadian media and influencer landscape a plus
Highly organized and able to manage complex projects across global time zones
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills
Able to interface with senior leadership and global stakeholders
Proficient in building campaign reports and recaps tied to KPIs
Team-oriented, resourceful, and adaptable with a solution-focused mindset
Passion for client’s purpose, values, and commitment to vision care innovation

Notes:

Work hours: 8h per day Mon-Fri (ideally 9am-6pm with flexibility)
Hybrid schedule or Onsite: Hybrid, following EL policy (3 days in the office)
