JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview
Independently lead design initiatives within a defined product area. You are responsible for delivering high-quality, end-to-end user experiences while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional partners.
This role requires strong hands-on execution, the ability to work with moderate autonomy, and comfort translating loosely defined problems into clear, actionable design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Design Execution (End-to-End Ownership)
Own and deliver end-to-end UX design for features or product initiatives
Create key deliverables including:
User flows
Wireframes
High-fidelity UI designs
Interactive prototypes
Translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into effective design solutions
Deliver production-ready design specifications to support engineering implementation
Ensure alignment with existing design systems and scalable UX patterns
2. Interaction Design & Experience Quality
Design intuitive interaction patterns for moderately complex user flows
Develop clear information architecture for multi-step experiences
Use journey mapping and systems thinking to structure cohesive end-to-end experiences
Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles in day-to-day work
3. Collaboration & Product Integration
Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders in a cross-functional environment
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, design reviews)
Communicate design decisions clearly, using user, business, and data rationale
Contribute to alignment and tradeoff discussions across teams
4. Problem Framing & Prioritization
Translate loosely defined problems into structured design approaches
Help define problem statements, not just execute solutions
Prioritize work based on user impact, business value, and feasibility
Balance speed and quality in an iterative delivery environment
5. Craft Growth & Team Contribution
Continuously improve design quality through feedback and iteration
Share work and best practices with the team
Contribute to team consistency through adoption of UX standards and processes
Provide guidance or informal mentorship to less experienced designers when needed
Scope & Impact
Owns individual features or initiatives within a product area
Works with moderate autonomy and limited oversight
Impacts product-level outcomes (not responsible for org-wide strategy)
Contributes to overall design quality and team effectiveness
Technical Skills – Must Have
Strong proficiency in Figma for end-to-end product design (wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and interactive prototypes)
Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end UX design for product features or workflows
Strong interaction design skills for multi-step user flows and feature-level experiences
Experience creating user journeys, flows, and information architecture to define UX solutions
Ability to produce high-fidelity designs and production-ready specifications for engineering handoff
Experience working within and applying design systems and reusable UI components
Hands-on experience with prototyping (clickable and/or high-fidelity) for concept validation
Experience conducting or supporting usability testing and incorporating insights into design iterations
Experience working in Agile cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, etc.)
