Position Overview



This job posting is for three different Assembler positions (Safety Valve, Control Valve and Becker Valve). Candidates must have hands-on valve assembly experience, not candidates whose experience is limited to installation, maintenance, or field service.

Qualified Candidates Must Have Experience In:
Assembling valves from components
Calibrating valves
Stainless steel tubing installation and bending
Reading technical drawings and assembly documentation
Pressure testing and hydro testing (preferred but not required)
Troubleshooting and repair of valve components

Position-Specific Experience

Safety Valve Technicians

Candidates should have experience:
Disassembling and assembling Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs)
Lapping valve seats and discs
Calibrating set pressures
Performing seat leakage and set pressure testing
Understanding API standards and pressure relief valve operation

Control Valve Technicians

Candidates should have experience:
Control valve assembly and repair
Stainless steel tubing installation and bending
Actuator and positioner setup
Hydro testing and pressure testing
Valve calibration and troubleshooting
Reading P&IDs and assembly drawings

Becker Valve Technicians

Candidates should have experience:
Becker valve assembly
Stainless steel tubing fabrication and installation
Leak testing and troubleshooting
Mechanical assembly and repair

Essential Requirements of the Role
2+ years of valve assembly experience.
Experience with stainless steel tubing installation and bending.
Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience.
Ability to read engineering drawings and assembly instructions.

Precision Calibration & Testing – Accurately setting valve pressures, performing leak testing, and ensuring compliance with API standards.
Valve Repair & Lapping Expertise – Diagnosing seat leakage and properly lapping valve seats/discs to restore performance.
Technical Troubleshooting – Identifying internal component wear, assembly issues, and failed test results while maintaining quality standards.

Control Valve Assembler Technician – Top 3 Role Challenges
Complex Valve Assembly & Calibration – Assembling control valves, actuators, and positioners while ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
Stainless Steel Tubing Fabrication – Cutting, bending, routing, and installing tubing correctly without leaks or restrictions.
Testing & Troubleshooting – Performing hydro, pneumatic, and seat leakage testing while diagnosing performance, stroke, or actuator issues.

Becker Valve Assembler Technician – Top 3 Role Challenges
Precision Mechanical Assembly – Building valve assemblies to engineering specifications while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Tubing Installation & Leak Prevention – Installing and bending stainless steel tubing and ensuring leak-free connections.
Inspection & Problem Resolution – Identifying defects, troubleshooting assembly issues, and verifying performance through functional testing.
