This role supervises a team of union craft with an emphasis on work force safety and efficiency.Essential FunctionsSupervise a team of union craft performing vegetation management on a company fleet of various equipment types (zero-turn mowers, Tool-Cats with attachments, Tractors with Bushhogs).Maintain a safe work environment.Conduct pre-job safety briefs for all assigned work. Inform employees of safety rules and regulations and consistently enforce them.Verify all work performed is done in compliance with environmental permits and procedures. Emphasize and ensure the commitment to performing all work in compliance within environmental procedures with all crafts and contractors.Implementation and supervision of vegetation management execution.Coordinate with fleet and 3rd party suppliers to coordinate spare parts needs and maintenance/repair schedules.Determine and manage when overtime is necessary.Administer the Employee Productivity Guidelines, Code of Conduct, and the collective bargaining agreement.Inform employees of work performance standards and expectations.Coordinate closely with Renewable Maintenance Supervisors.Trains and evaluates employees in the proper use of tools, machinery, maintenance procedures and practices, and safe work practices.Assist operating departments in monitoring equipment and troubleshooting abnormal operating conditions.
