Description:Warehouse ClerkThe receiving clerk is responsible for receiving all incoming raw material, as well as, shipments from UPS, FedEx, office supply stores, etc. The job involves being on a forklift or cherry picker to unload trucks when receiving pallets and individual boxes. They typically will receive an average 200 to 300 items per day. First the receiver will check the packing list to the materials to assure that all product is correct. They will report any damaged or incorrect items to customer service for processing. They will then scan the packing list and generate a label to placed on product. They will either place the items on storage shelves in the warehouse or take items directly to the line for production. Most items are on skids and are handled by forklift. The receiving clerk is also responsible for getting materials to the cable cutting area.
