Summary
This individual will be responsible for daily logistic tasks such as accepting and verifying inbound deliveries, receiving deliveries, labeling material, and putting it away in the designated storage area. Pull and process customer orders when needed, ensuring accuracy is maintaining the Warehouse Management System. Provide support and perform system transactions for return to vendor items. Ensuring overall inventory accuracy. Individual will need forklift experience and previous chemical handling experience would be a plus.
Responsibilities: Work safely and follow appropriate safety requirements Performs receiving and distribution of materials and components into and out of inventory Picking & staging materials per first expired first out rules (FEFO) Put away inbound orders and deliveries Manage and process return to vendor items (RMA) Maintains Oracle Inventory Performs various tasks as needs arise Ability to communicate and coordinate issues Proactively seek efficiencies Promote change and influence team to embrace new business tools and methods. Communicate inventory issues using developed tools Understand and follow proper spills / emergency cleanup procedures Adhere to processes and procedures Proper labeling of all materials Operation of powered industrial equipment Direct interface with internal & external customers Support waste reduction & recycling programs Additional backup support for distribution department Perform dip-tube exchanges in a clean environment Maintain and participate in site 5S program
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED 1+ years experience in the chemicals or compressed gases field Forklift certification or able to obtain a forklift certification within 3 months Ability to work in a fast paced environment Demonstrate the ability to analyze processes and find new approaches to existing processes. Excellent organizational skills Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Effective communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to work in a team environment Dedicated to quality and accuracy Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Powerpoint,Excel and Google Sheets and Docs. Ability to utilize system reports to manage inventory Familiar with Oracle Applications and FabNet. Emergency Response Team member Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
Preferred:
Able to obtain Forklift, RCRA, DOT, and Hazmat Certification without restrictions Some chemical / background or equivalent knowledge preferred
