Description:

Warehouse Helper

The Warehouse Helper plays a key role in supporting daily shop and warehouse operations by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and assisting with equipment preparation and tool packing for shipment. This position is essential to ensuring efficient workflow and the timely delivery of tools and equipment to job sites.

Key responsibilities:

Clean and wash equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards
Sweep floors and maintain an organized, debris free shop environment
Assist the Shop Foreman with packing tools and equipment for outbound shipments
Verify tool and equipment lists against packing instructions to ensure accuracy
Load and unload tools, parts, and equipment as required
Store tools, materials, and supplies properly in designated areas
Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
Report damaged tools or equipment promptly to the Shop Foreman
Support additional warehouse and shop activities as assigned

Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail when cleaning, organizing, and preparing equipment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Basic understanding of warehouse operations and tool handling
Reliable work ethic with the ability to stay productive during repetitive or physical tasks
Good communication skills for coordinating with the Shop Foreman and team members
Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and tools as required
Strong commitment to safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols
Organizational skills to maintain clean work areas and proper tool storage
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Work Environment:
Fast paced and noisy environment with constant movement.
Regular lifting and/or moving up to to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
Have a High School Diploma or equivalent level of education

Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies)

Entry-level position; no prior experience required (training provided).
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to [insert weight limit] lbs.
Basic understanding of hand tools and shop safety practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.

Shift:
Monday – Friday from 8am-5pm, overtime as needed
