Job Description

Description:

  • This position provides administrative and warehouse support to operations and maintenance of the client, by handling vendor communication, quote collection, and delivery coordination.
  • The primary responsibility is to obtain material and equipment quotes from vendors, accurately document quote details and follow-up actions in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and assist with material receipt and distribution.
  • The temporary staff member will interact with vendors, coordinate deliveries, and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized storage environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive deliveries; verify and distribute incoming materials and supplies to the appropriate personnel or storage locations.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes for materials, supplies, and equipment requested by facilities staff.
  • Support materials handling, including sorting and placing inventory on shelves, racks, or bins.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct physical counts; assist with reconciling inventory variances.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and workstations.
  • Assist with preparing material orders for pickup and organizing order staging areas.
  • Provide responsive support to internal staff and ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to inventory and warehouse support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials handling.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain inventory records.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, especially with tracking multiple quotes.
  • Strong communication skills, especially when working with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to become forklift trained.

Required Skills:

  • Warehouse Experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using a Forklift
  • Able to maintain inventory records
