Web Designer

Position General Summary:
This Intermediate-level role is responsible for the design, development, and creation of high-quality websites, standalone interactives, and learning assets across moderately to complex projects. The developer will utilize strong skills in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, along with a solid understanding of JSON for data integration and GIT for version control. This position demands a commitment to development standards and code maintainability, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to efficiently provide troubleshooting and resolution for 3rd tier support issues. Success requires active collaboration with Graphic Designers, Product Managers, and Engineering Staff to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the end-user experience.

The most crucial technical skills and technologies required:
HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
Solid understanding and utilization of JSON files
Utilization of a standard IDE such as WebStorm, Komodo, Coda, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Sublime Text or other

Essential Position Functions:
Intermediate professional level role. Works on moderately complex, to complex projects that require a solid understanding of Web design and layout. Must have a strong understanding of HTML5, CSS, JSON, and GIT repository utilization. Must adhere to development standards, ensuring maintainability of code.

Minimum Requirements

Education/Licensure/Skill/Expertise/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
3-5 years developing and supporting custom enterprise website solutions with advanced experience with client-side technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML and others
Experience with Git Version Control Systems
Preferred experience with JSON and DOM
Preferred experience with cross browser and cross platform compatibility issues (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, PC, Mac, etc.)
Preferred experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) and/or editors such as WebStorm, Komodo, Coda, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Sublime Text or others
Preferred experience with AJAX, XML
Preferred experience React, Angular, Vue
