Job Description

Description:

  • Operating with two years experience is responsible for fabricating and welding filtration equipment, pipe, and various structural equipment. Must use independent judgment and initiative to complete projects on a timely and safe basis.
  • Fabricates filtration equipment, pipe, and various structural equipment from blue prints and work orders. Understands and applies AWS welding symbols.
  • Welding skills should include selecting proper wire, shielding gases, and setting wire feed speeds and voltage to obtain a balanced arc condition.
  • Successful completion of AWS-1G unlimited thickness certification, or ASTM Section 9 certification.
  • Must have operating knowledge of preheat- cutting torch, stud welder, and overhead crane.
  • May train other employees on specific procedures regarding products. Maintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Ensures adherence to safety rules and regulations and quality procedures.
  • Completes and submits shop work orders, rework, and miscellaneous sheets to update individual utilization reports on a daily basis or as required ensuring hours worked equals hours paid.
  • Performs related duties as assigned. Leads your department by example. Supports and promotes all company policy, supports Manager of department in company policy and department procedure policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Maintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe condition. Seeks constructive resolution of drawings, bill of materials, NAR's, routings, and ECN changes.
  • Must work well in a team environment. Computer literate preferred.

Experience Required:

  • Two years of experience.
  • Proven knowledge of the American Welding Society welding symbols and codes.
  • Must possess knowledge of welding processes GMAW and FCAW at a minimum.
  • A strong sense of urgency, initiative, and the ability to understand and solve fabrication problems.
