Description:Wiring Technicians are responsible for assembling cable kits and wire harnesses according to drawings and guidelines to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met. They will inspect and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.Tasks:Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders,bills of materials, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructionsAssemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power toolsMeasure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as calipersAlign, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopesInspect parts for surface defectsVerify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specificationsClean up working areas and inventory toolsRequirements:HS diploma or equivalentDirect assembly experience reading and interpreting wire diagramsAbility to physically lift 35 poundsAbility to communicate effectively in English (read, speak, write)Ability to collaborate successfully in a team-oriented environmentAbility to learn and process information quickly and execute tasks successfullyAbility to work safely and to operate power tools and equipment in a safe mannerPreferences:Experience in assembly and particularly in building wire harnesses and cable kitsNotes:1st Shift Monday-Thursday 6:30AM-5PMVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
