Job Profile Summary:

  • The HR Technology team at client provides consultation on Workday and other HR application business processes and best practices for HR Center of Excellence Leaders, HR Business Partners, and Service Center teams with a focus on the employee and manager experiences. We play an essential role in leveraging best-in-class technologies to drive HR’s strategic initiatives. This role will be responsible for a Workday Compensation functional product area, vendor relationships, and partnering closely with HR Center of Excellence Leaders to prioritize and implement solutions within the Human Resources ecosystem.

Job Description:

  • Manages vendor relationships independently
  • Ensures data integrity and stability of the HR Ecosystem
  • Provides complex technical support for HR Applications
  • Provides guidance and oversight for updating help desk scripts and self-service knowledge articles
  • Supports and maintains vendor relationships as DSC (Designated Service Contact)

Consulting

  • Provides customer consulting and best practice guidance independently 90% of the time
  • Partners with customers to strategize on best approach for integrating technology into current and future business processes
  • Collaborate and progress development of peer and team knowledge
  • Demonstrate strong customer and stakeholder management to achieve project objectives
  • Lead over the HR applications to include Workday core functional modules, including implementation from design, testing, deployment, and support
  • Identify strategies, risks, options, recommend approaches, and mitigations to meet customer and functional requirements
  • Advise customers on industry standards and leading practices
  • Contribute to product feature prioritization and technology roadmaps
  • Manages customer and stakeholder relationships and expectations to achieve project initiatives
  • Utilize tools to map processes and identify fits and gaps
  • Coordinates with vendors for resolutions and enhancements Understand and apply HR Systems and client methodologies
  • Leader in RCA (Root Cause Analysis), options analysis, and estimations for project initiatives
  • Guarantees government regulations impacting HR systems and processes are implemented

Project Management

  • Acts as project management lead in moderate to highly complex initiatives
  • Manages medium to large project initiatives independently
  • Provide status updates and apprised of overall project status

Agile Configuration and Development

  • Lead planning and design sessions with customers
  • Leads configuration and administration of systems while delegating across team resources
  • Provide guidance and feedback for peers including production support and escalations
  • Architect HR applications modular solutions to ensure that all workstreams are cohesive and cross-functional impacts are considered and mitigated
  • Demonstrate design options by prototyping (Proof of Concept)
  • Identify new technologies, trends, and opportunities.
  • Define & develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed designs of application solutions for clients
  • Translates customer requirements into technical design documents
  • Resolve incident escalations
  • Partners with management to define monthly release scope
  • Completes technical documentation and develops test plans for unit, system and user acceptance testing
  • Coordinates seamless integration and deployment of new functionality

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 7 years’ experience in HR, IT or Cloud Based Solutions OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses + 9 years’ experience in HR, IT or Cloud Based Solutions OR 11 years’ experience in HR, IT or Cloud Based Solutions
  • 4 years HRMS SaaS and/or Cloud Based experience
  • Workday Certification or equivalent experience in Compensation /Advanced Compensation
  • Project Management experience on highly complex projects
  • Strong prioritization, coordination, and delegation skills
  • Lead customer teams independently
  • Minimal oversight from management
  • Possess ability to manage workload, manage multiple priorities, and manage conflicts with customers/employees/managers and execute deliverables as required
  • Experience in gathering business requirements and translating into technical documents
  • Problem solving /analytical thinking
