Mission/Function of the role:• This role will have a key focus on the client program and report into the client Procurement Manager. The client Intern is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued growth, expansion, and alignment of client’ best in class travel + events programs. Key Responsibilities:• Contracts management and support• Source to contract procurement process support including RFPs, data, and audits• Maintain internal repository of agreements and negotiation results• Support supplier management and savings tracking• client program management support• Hotel program support (eg bid analysis, operational audits)• Specialty travel program (eg white glove service desk)• Group booking program (develop into SME on processes and tools)• Internal procurement tools expert• Learn and own key procurement tools for contract storage, RFPs, sustainability, data, supplier onboarding, etc.• Data and analytics• Data entry for key metrics and insights• Ability to review data and identify high level trends / KPIs• Additional scope and support as needed / assignedIdeal Candidate Profile:• College senior or newly graduated candidate seeking corporate experience• Self-starter comfortable working within a remote working environment• Interested in pursuing a career in Procurement, Program Management, Hospitality or Travel industries• Comfortable with a fast paced, multi-project environment• Proactive and capable to work independently on projects and in a team environment• Good communication skills• Go-getter personality• Eager to learn and grow long term with the company• Ability to follow process steps per internal compliance requirements• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio• Advanced skills with PowerPoint preferred• Corporate experience preferred• Reporting and data analytics experience (eg PowerBI, Domo) a plusMust Have - AdminNotes:REMOTEThis role is a part time internship totaling 20 hours per week.The days of the week shall be established and consistent but can be chosen by the candidate and aligned with the manager upon offer and acceptance of the position.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
