Position Overview


Hybrid

The client is seeking a Business Analyst to support development and implementation of the eligibility system, and lead business analysis activities and manage projects for Medicaid-specific solutions.

This position requires experience with Agile Methodologies and knowledge of Medicaid program rules, policies, and procedures.

The Business Analyst is expected to participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead Fit/Gap and JAD sessions that map requirements to standard features and functions
Conduct business, operational, financial and comparative analysis used to recommend an effective implementation approach.
Execute data queries to support reporting, analysis, data validation, troubleshooting, and testing
Identify and document business process, issues, value levers, metrics, and capabilities
Develop functional and technical design specifications, process flows, and system documentation to ensure solutions meet business requirements, program objectives, and established standards.
Refine User Stories and establish acceptance criteria identified for features
Support system testing activities, like developing test scenarios, participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect tracking
Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify training needs and support user readiness for new or enhanced system functionality, business processes, and operational procedures
Participate in implementation activities supporting the successful delivery of system enhancements and operational improvements.
Provide end-user support by assisting with production support activities, responding to user questions, and helping resolve system related issues.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing intuitive, user-centric UI/UX solutions
Proficiency with SQL for querying and validating data
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including generative AI use cases

Skill - Required / Desired - Amount of Experience
Strong Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile Methodologies - Required - 5 Years
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to Medicaid and other human services programs - Required - 3 Years
Ability to analyze complex business processes and recommend technology solutions - Required - 5 Years
Experience analyzing and creating user stories, process flows, use cases, mapping, and business requirements documentation - Required - 5 Years
Experience with requirements traceability, testing support, and user acceptance testing (UAT) - Required - 5 Years
Experience facilitating requirements gathering and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with Stakeholders, business and technical teams - Required - 5 Years
Proficiency with business analysis and project management tools (e.g: JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite) - Required - 5 Years
Ability to work independently and manage medium complexity work efforts - Required - 5 Years
Experience with the client (Curam Software Suite) or similar integrated eligibility systems - Highly desired - 5 Years
Experience with UI/UX design principles, and user-centric design - Highly desired - 3 Years
SQL Experience for querying and validating data - Highly desired - 3 Years
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases - Highly desired - 1 Years
