Position Overview


Manufacturing Engineer Fabrication

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work supporting machining, sheet metal, and tool design processes. You will work in a team environment to develop and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and engineering solutions that meet established safety, quality, cost, and project requirements.
Analyze manufacturing information and define the methods, process steps, machinery, tooling, and equipment needed to support production
Design and continuously improve manufacturing processes and systems to achieve cost and quality objectives
Develop engineering solutions and coordinate feasibility testing to support solution development and validation
Support the development, application, and evaluation of engineering standards and specifications
Inspect engineering work, equipment, installations, or structures and recommend corrective actions needed to meet specifications and regulatory requirements
Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures and implement improvements through established change management processes
Coordinate activities with suppliers, subcontractors, and other external resources in accordance with established project and contract management plans
Support product development and engineering activities by analyzing customer needs and delivering appropriate manufacturing solutions
Manage assigned engineering activities within established project plans, schedules, and goals
Provide technical support and guidance to help others effectively use engineering and knowledge management systems

SKILL SET REQUIREMENTS
Manufacturing engineering experience involving machining, sheet metal fabrication, tooling, equipment, or related manufacturing processes
Ability to develop, implement, test, and improve engineering designs and manufacturing solutions
Experience preparing and applying technical engineering specifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex or conflicting information
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage work within an established project schedule
Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with different audiences
Ability to make timely decisions and remain accountable for commitments
Knowledge of safe work systems, applicable policies, regulations, and risk-management practices
Ability to work collaboratively with production teams, suppliers, contractors, and other engineering functions

What Makes You Stand Out
Experience designing or improving machining, sheet metal, tooling, or related manufacturing processes
Demonstrated ability to diagnose operational problems and implement practical engineering solutions
Experience coordinating engineering work with suppliers, subcontractors, or other external partners
Ability to develop feasibility testing approaches and evaluate engineering outcomes
Experience creating clear technical specifications, engineering documentation, and reports
Working knowledge of project management, contract management, costing, or budgeting
A continuous-improvement mindset and the ability to identify inefficiencies in existing processes
Ability to provide technical guidance and build alignment among stakeholders with different priorities

Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in one of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline
Equivalent manufacturing engineering education, training, and relevant professional experience


Notes:
1st shift 6- 2:30 PM OT hours needed if requested. Metatarsal safety boots are required on their first day.
