Material Handler/Receiving/WarehouseAs a Material Handler you will perform the necessary movement of materials: receiving, storage, picking, delivery, and inventory of all items including transport of materials to production areas. You may be required to document and record receipt and delivery of all materials and products using SAP. This position also performs the required equipment inspections to ensure safe operation.Responsibilities:Safely operates a stand-up reach truck, stand-up order picker, and sit-down forklift in high traffic areas and narrow aislesInspects moving equipment dailyUnloads and receives production materials physically and records in the SAP systemCounts and verifies counts for incoming material within the storeroomPick materials for inside and outside customers using RF Scanners with count accuracyPerforms cycle counts daily of materials in the storeroomPacks and ships materials efficiently and damage free for shipment to our customersLoads materials for outgoing shipments and makes sure that proper documentation is being provided to driversEfficient with small hand tools, battery, electrical, & air power toolsAdhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improveMust adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and othersPerform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or ManagementRequirements: knowledge/skills, education, and experience:High School Diploma or GEDMust have a valid driver’s licenseMust be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionallyMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMust be a strong team playerMust have the ability to work independently with little guidanceMust be able to perform job duties safely with a sense of urgencyMust have great attention to detail while working to a deadlineMust have a positive attitude, work well with others, and implement constructive criticismPreferred: knowledge/skills, education, and experience:1 + years’ experience in material management (warehousing)1+ years’ experience driving a forkliftExperience with SAP systemExperience with RF Scanner devicesProficient with MS Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAssociates Degree or technical training in area of responsibilityNote:8:30 am -5:00 pm ---A driver’s license is necessary to operate a fork truck in the shipping department.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
